Wherefore art thou Shake-speare?

Lord Edward de Vere

Dear Editor: One must catch government lies immediately lest they are believed to be FACT. In This Day in History you claim that in 1564 “William Shakespeare” was baptized in Stratford-upon-Avon, yet no record of that exists, nor a single play written in his hand, nor proof that he was even literate beyond six completely different signatures. And you misspelled it. It’s Shake-speare, the hyphen denoting a pen name used by Lord Edward deVere, the actual author of the greatest plays ever written. Oh well. A rose by any other name smells just as sweet…

Sincerely, David Bovie
